and got a “major” hair cut – like ten inches off sort of hair cut. The idea planted itself in my brain on Monday, but I had to wait to see my stylist until this morning (Friday). I still consider this to be a spontaneous act given the fact that such a decision would normally take me weeks to decide – I am terrible when it comes to cutting my hair.
I had been growing it out for a while in the hopes of being able to donate what I cut for children who have lost their hair to alopecia or cancer treatments. What I did make spontaneous was the fact that I didn’t alert the stylist to the fact that I was planning to do this until I saw her. Needless to say, I think I gave her a little extra stress! She did do it and now my hair ends about 2 inches above my shoulders. I’m pleased with my new look and that I’ll be able to help someone else out. Afterall, it’s just hair and it will grow back!

and so far so good. I’m hoping to keep up my plans of heading to the gym as often as possible. I just got back from a cycling class and I feel FABULOUS! Whenever I get off track and start to waver about going to work out, I just need to remember how good it feels once I’ve done a good workout. I’ve set my goal for mid June because I want to be able to enjoy summer outside (and not covered up) HOWEVER, I also want to make sure that I feel great in a bathing suit by August when I travel to Brazil…
So I’m still currently struggling with this goal here. The familiar sayings ‘hindsight is 20/20’ and ‘if I only knew then what I know now’ keep popping up with regards to recent events. The idea of learning from past experiences has seems to completely escape me, especially when it comes to affairs of the heart. Somehow all rational leaves me during such times and I am then left to ponder just what the heck I was thinking. I hope that one of these days I’ll get my act together…until then I’m left thinking - what was I thinking?!
