Thankfully recycling and composting are encouraged where I live, but I feel like I need to do more. I think I’ll focus on reducing food waste; by freezing more and canning fresh produce to preserve fruit and make pickled veggies for example.

Pro tip: Bring a towel. Wear “booty shorts” and a well-fitting, non-shifting sports bra. Bring lots of water (drink beforehand). Tie your hair back.
So I’ve equipped myself with a neat wifi pedometer device, the FitBit Ultra. It’s tiny, costs a bit of chunk of change, but I am getting really attached to wearing it everyday, everywhere. It gives me enough instant gratification, a bit of ego-stroking, that I’m falling for its tricks and I’m becoming more active in an effort to best myself.
