A couple people asked me what I’m doing to lose weight….
Well first of all, when it really comes down to it, the most important factor of losing weight is WHAT U EAT! I’ve been an athlete since I was young and even played basketball n volleyball for my college. But I still was overweight because I ate whatever I want, whenever I wanted. So now, I am much more conscious of what i put in my mouth. First off, i write down EVERYTHING I EAT and WHAT TIME. This helps me to re-evaluate myself at the end of the week if I did poorly. Then I can be like “well, it might be those bbq wings I ate at the bar saturday…” :)I try not to eat refined carbs, but if I slip up, or if I feel like I have to have it, I eat a little bit. My diet is mostly based on lean meats, veggies, fruit, LOTS OF WATER, and DETERMINATION. I try to eat at least 4-5 small meals a day, and I don’t eat after 8pm.
As for exercise, I work out 5-6 days a week at the gym. I do cardio for 30-60mins (depending on how I feel) and I lift weights, alternating legs one day, and arms the next. I try to do abs on most days. I also mix up my workout by doing an aerobic class, running in or outdoors, swimming, etc.
This is important to me because I want to be a athletic trainer. But I feel I need to be able to be an inspiration to my clients so I’m working really hard on myself. It is important to find something to motivate yourself. It could be health reasons, that wedding dress, meeting a boyfriend’s parents, your kids, but there’s nothing more important than doing it for yourself. Be PATIENT everyone! That is something I definitely had to learn. I didn’t gain 30lbs in 2 months, so I really can’t expect it to come off as quickly. Push yourself, but don’t get down when you make mistakes! Pout, then shake it off and get back on track-whether its your next meal, or your next workout.

Hey guys,
I wrote on here a few weeks ago, but I’ve been slackin. Here’s my progress so far:
I started at 218lbs, and I’m now down to 203lbs. :) 15lbs! I haven’t lost that much weight in a long time. The only problem is because I’m so tall (6ft), it is barely noticeable. Some of my closer friends and family notice, and my clothes fit better, but its not as dramatic as I thought it would be. :( So Im most likely going to have to re-evaluate my weight loss, and instead of wanting to lose 30lbs, it might have to be like 40lbs. But its ok! I’m gonna do this!

I made it! 2 years ago

Well, I just got to Atlanta on Jan 11th. I moved in with my older sis in Marietta. So far Im happy with my choice. Yes, it is a little lonely with my friends being so far away, but I am excited about the opprotunity to meet new people and have my life go in a totally different direction. I know that as long as God is in my life, I will be ok.
