just started working with a workbook “So You Thought You Couldn’t Draw” by Sandra Angelo. Being a non-artist, I’ve spent the last couple of days using a grid to learn angles, proportions and negative space. It’s true, a lot of drawing is learning to “see”. Even small drawings take me a long time, but I feel I’m really learning something and can see improvement already. I’m encouraged and am moving forward!

i know it’s late, and potter-mania has died down, but being an english teacher, i have great respect for any writer who can win such a following among reluctant readers. i’ve gotta see how she does it!

just started exercise 1.1 on mastering the piano…i’m learning that this endeavor will require a great deal of focused attention. Something I’m struggling with at this point in my life…so the exercises will be good for me. I just need the discipline to stick with it.
