Because wanting to learn three instruments just isn’t enough.
I’m hoping my current fiddle pursuit will create a direct route to cello, which is my first stringed love. And I can’t abandon that fascination.

How I did it: Throw away trash. Take out trash. Do dishes. Clean counters, sinks, bathtub, toilet. Make bed. Do laundry. Hang up clothes. Sweep floor. I should probably put at the top of this list "ditch dirty old apartment and all other unnecessary crap." Makes 1-8 as easy as 1-2-3. Read how I did it…
Because wanting to learn three instruments just isn’t enough.
I’m hoping my current fiddle pursuit will create a direct route to cello, which is my first stringed love. And I can’t abandon that fascination.
I don’t know what that means. I wrote and wrote and wrote yesterday and today I’m all written out. But I will write this: The most surprising part of this writing workshop was that I really was not in the mood to write when I went and I actually liked most of what I wrote by the end. Which makes me think that I need to write when I’m not in the mood. And that I need to think very little about any of it in advance. Come to (not) think of it, those two aspects combined equal my new philosophy about everything.
I finally enrolled in a class and after four weeks I’ve learned four songs, and even how to slur and slide! I’m about to start level two, when I learn to drone and dribble. I made the “dribble” up, but I might try it anyway.
My skills leave a lot to be desired, but I still desire. This relationship may renew my faith in longevity.
