I’ve BEEN from BC to Quebec by bus …Yes, by bus… but now I’d really like to drive ( okay, I’ll probably let my hubby do most of the driving – isn’t that nice of me ? ) across Canada so that we can venture off the beaten track a bit and spend more time in places that look interesting. I also want to see Niagra Falls…Cheesy I know but I want to see it.

How I did it: About 3 years ago my "new" hubby and I decided we'd really like to stop renting and become homeowners. Yes, I took the required classes in French in grade 7 and 8. Grade 7 consisted of our teacher putting on a “how to speak French” record for an hour a day and making us listen to it. ( we didn’t) grade 8 French was a blast. But, as the old saying goes, use it or lose it. Lose it I did. However, now I am maried to a French Canadian. Our son is in a french school and is very fluent and so I am the minority. Last year we went to Quebec and I could not communicate with my father in law, who speaks no English. Therefore I am determined to learn some French before we go back again .
