How to have Themed Scavenger Hunts with other 43thingers!

have fun!

How I did it: I was completely new to the whole concept of scavenger hunting since it is not something that happens in Europe much, I think. But I took to it like a duck to water, I think. The fun of it is that it makes you see the world in a different way. I mean, you can go look for a life preserver near the dockside, but it is also there on a sign for a houseboat museum! Or you could go to a lame or dodgy Amsterdam souvenir shop and look for a peace… Read how I did it…

Two books in the mail! 2 hours ago

Thanks to Cluri I received two books in the mail today that I am sure I will enjoy. I am near the end of my Japan Diaries anyway so I’ll switch to reading on the train instead of writing. Maybe my writing will improve because of the reading, right?

So I’m putting Moby Dick on hold for the time being because I was getting slow on that one anyway (plus it is heavy in my bag which is why I don’t want to take it with me all the time) and changing to the titles Cluricaune sent me: The Crow Road (Iain Banks) and The Shadow of the Wind (Carlos Ruiz Zafon). Hurray!!!
