The “lights” are usually more of a winter thing but I have seen them in August in the high Rocky Mountains of Wyoming and in the fall at Chena Hot Springs in Alaska. There the mother moose was showing the calf the proper way to enjoy the hot water in the sanctuary of this preserve. At that time of year they were probably munching a few mushrooms too…..............
I have continued to use and practice my languages and make friends in unexpected places. I have had conversations with Germans who spoke Italian (which is quite close) and could understand enough spanish to communicate.
