I kept getting sick, sore throat, cough. I went to a pulmonologist thinking I had developed asthma. He insisted it was my tongue ring causing my issues. I didn’t believe him and kept it in. After two years a chronic cough and sinus drainage, I finally started thinking he might be right. I finally took it out and I haven’t been sick since. I’m bummed, I LOVED having my tongue pierced. I guess what I’d like to say is, as long as you remain healthy, keep it in, but if you suddenly begin having a chronic cough or sore throat, it might be time to take it out.

I’ve had several piercings and tattoos, and the rook was probably one of the more painful things I’ve done. I’d rather sit 8 hours being tattooed. On the other hand, I do think it’s pretty!

I have a couple tattoos on my left arm and want to finish the “sleeve” with old school stuff.
