I waited for years before getting a tattoo even after I’d chosen the design because I wanted to be sure that I wanted it. I FINALLY got it when I graduated college. My husband and my best friend (who designed the tattoo) went with me and it was a great experience. It’s awesome to have changed my body and add something that I think is beautiful and significant to me. I COMPLETELY recommend it if you are sure you want one. But don’t go on impulse.
