Ultimate goal...

I’ve been an organic gardener and composter for years, but haven’t lived in my current location for long, so I’m currently working the garden area and planted N. Texas fall garden veggies. Future goals for homesteading…

Raising rabbits for mean
Raising chickens for eggs and meat
Raising a couple milk goats
Revisit canning skills and start canning again
Learning to butcher and smoke/cure meat
Make my own dairy products, cheese, butter, yogurt
Grow herb and plants for medicinal purposes (no, not MJ)
Put in a well
Alternative energy (alternate cooking methods, lanterns for lighting)
Replace electronics (e.g., hand grinder, hand tools, games and books instead of tv, manual food chopper and grinders…you get the idea)(ongoing).
Removing/Replacing chemical cleaners from my home (ongoing)
Make what is needed or buy used (ongoing)
Collect heritage seeds
Utilizing wild edible plants (ongoing)
Research natural materials for future home

My ultimate goal is to be completely self-sufficient and share with my grown children by example what I’ve been preaching for years!!!
