did this; looked great.
Now I have to do it again.

Well Todd, your not the only one.
I have:- Slept
- Cleaned home desk
- Taken care of the kids
And am now starting 10.5 hours in on the app.
Now I just have to pick among the 3 apps I’ve considered.
- Collekster
- Day Camp Adminstrakia
- World Peace (working title: End Game)
- 3 is difficult in 24 hours;
- 2 is useful but limited to Scouting;
- 1 it is.
Collekster
intent: A collector’s dream
goals:- On-line private collection database
- Visibility rules (private/public)
- Available for trade list (add/remove)
- email notification to owner of trade interest
- searchable trade space
- tags used to define collection type space
- future: integration w/ known authoratative collector database for price/value information
- mid-future: on-line build of price/value information (similiar to wikimedia’s building of encyclopedia (price/value self regulated by community of collectors)
Well that’s enough for now.
Now I just need a place to host it for show.
Pinewood Derby
4 years ago
Last November I stayed up and wrote a quick ruby app to record the results of a Space Derby. I used a simple XML output format with CSS styling to display race results. Now I want to convert this over to a Rails app.
My main goals would be to allow for customized lane selections and integrating the race results data entry onto the heads up display.
Adding sound effect button on the side would make the experience more “presentational” also.
