I finished last year, and, circumstances permitting, I WILL finish this year. THat means that if I am not in the process of changing jobs or moving in November, there should be no excuse for not finishing NaNo.

Get a job I love. Ideally at a smallish company.
Or start my own company. I haven’t decided yet.
This goal is on hold until I establish myself in Seattle.

I’ve created an impossible situation for myself. I’ll probably wait until I move just to give myself the stability, and then I will be more open.
Right now I’m generally called “the world’s straightest gay man” by my friends—and they’re right. Two – thirds of it is my natural state is a very straight acting and straight looking guy, but the other third is the fear of my established friends (who don’t know) turning on me, or my job being in danger.
And there’s the entire issue of being public about this sort of thing. The culture does not lend itself to people who are somewhat introverted.

So the plan of action is:
1) Move. Start a new life (this is a job/life thing anyway)
2) Be open about who and what I am, where appropriate.
3) Begin the process of locating the people and criteria of what I want in a relationship.
4) Establish some sort of relationship. See where it goes.

Even if I get horribly hurt, it’s still better then going through life not knowing.
