Make December 2008 Ubuntu Month
Nothing but Ubuntu 11 months ago

I would like to keep on track with ONLY using Ubuntu on my desktop computer at home. Working with Gutsy Gibbon at the moment (Installed 11/30. Going to try and find Mac-like and Windows-like programs. In the end, I would like to set up my system to dual boot with the Windows XP Black Edition that I currently have on my old drive.

I will also attempt to run virtual machines in Linux for XP and Vista.

Eating gluttons at the Fair
Shameless men without a care
Men who drink straight from the keg
The men who eat the whole Scotch Egg

Messy goo upon their face
These are pigs, disgusting and base
Five hungry men with hollow legs
But only one eats the whole Scotch Egg

Trained to live off fried food stands
Trained to gorge, with greedy hands
Men who eat by night and day
Can they finish the whole Scotch Egg?

Messy goo upon their face

Throw in a gal with a hollow leg
Still only one eats the whole Scotch Egg

At the Fair the winner gloats
A whole Scotch egg in his belly floats
He has proved to be the best
Now he has but one request

Get messy goo on my son’s face
Make him a part of the Fair’s disgrace
To honor my name, to you I beg
Have him eat the whole Scotch Egg

Switch to CFL light bulbs
... and save money on my electric bill! 13 months ago

So I’ll admit that I don’t want to use CFL bulbs in my house to save the environment. I just want to cut back a little on my energy bill. Yeah, I could make sure the lights are turned off and open the blinds when it’s daytime…
