How I did it: Even though it seemed financially IMPOSSIBLE, between scholarships and some student loans (student debt is good debt, right?) I was able to make this happen. I spent six months living in Copenhagen, Denmark and it was the greatest experience I could have asked for. While abroad I even found a job to fund my travels! I visited Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Czech Republic, Germany, and the UK. I studied Danish and became somewhat decent… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I am living in Copenhagen for the next six months on exchange. This city is amazing. The process of applying and dealing with all of the logistics was really exhausting but now that I am here it was all worth it. I have been here about a month now and have been all over town. While I am here I plan to travel to Germany, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, UK, Sweden, Norway, and anywhere else I can get myself to! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to Hong Kong for 11 days with my boyfriend and his family (his dad lives there). It was amazing!!!! I ate sooo much food and it was all worth it. however, the heat was crazy and I did start to really hate that. But it was just a great experience; the transportation, the people, the FOOD, and of course the interesting culture that emerges after British colonialism. Hong Kong is just amazing. It is pretty ridiculous; I have being going to school in San Diego for almost 2 years, by apartment is a 10 minute want from the beach (which i do not utilize enough) and I have never surfed. IT IS ABOUT TIME I DO IT.
I am right now taking Spanish Literature for my language requirement for my major and yes, it is kicking my butt, but it is worth it because I really am getting better at Spanish. I think the only was to actually become fluent or at all decent is to immerse yourself and actually live in a spansih speaking country. One day I hope to do that!
