How I did it: I live in an area that contains people that seem very focused on themselves at all times. I grew up in an area where people have a strong sense of community and family and focus less on themselves. In my personal struggle to reject the common mindset of this area, I lost myself and became my job. My goal was to rededicate myself to my won physucal and spiritual well-being and I have! How I did it: I finally learned that my job could not be my life. Over the years I realized that I wasn't a person.... I was my job. My job trumped everything else in my life including myself.... my health... my spirtual well-being.... my family. I recently experienced a couple of disappointments at my job, but they turned out to be huge positives in my life. They finally made my realize that I am a person that needs to take care of myself and I am not my job. Read how I did it…

There are many things going on in my life right now that are not good. None of them are life-threatening but they most certainly could be life-changing. After a quick trip to the homeland, I have finally realized that I am not in control of the situations and I need to make the best of whatever happens. I probably should have done this years ago, but now I am letting these situations rest in God’s hands.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31
Recently I had an important decision to make and I decided to take the high road and do the right thing. So I am proud that I was the best version of myself and even prouder that someone important to me noticed.
