I got this done in November for NaNoWriMo. It’s 50,000 words exactly, it’s lousy, and I’ll never do anything else with it. But at least that opened the door and now that I’ve written something terrible and it didn’t kill me, I can continue to write and write and write until it’s not terrible.

When I was in France I taught held English conversation classes once a week for about an hour. It was so little that I’m not really counting it towards my goal, but it was a good experience.
I read Slaughterhouse 5 a long time ago and loved it. Last month I read Cat’s Cradle and now I’m reading Breakfast of Champions. The man was a genius.
