I designed a tattoo that incorporated the online names of myself and my boyfriend [now husband]. I knew I wanted it to be black and circular, be placed just above our ankles, and be about the size of a silver dollar. Since we each had four letters to our names, the symmetry of the design was intuitive. I used vector tools in Photoshop to complete the design, printed it, and took it to a reputable tattoo shop.
