French. I want to learn French. It sounds beautiful when spoken, and it is actually a useful language for travel in many of the places I want to go. Plus I think learning new languages helps you have a better appreciation of the world around you because you can describe it better because you have more concepts to think about. Also attempting to learn Gaelic, which is slightly more challenging than Spanish. I wish I knew someone who spoke it so I could practice with them. I feel silly repeating the tapes out loud over and over.

Long range planning

This goal might be on here a while. I’ve got a significant commitment in the military after university, and I haven’t even graduated there yet. Plus I want to go sailing in some tropical seas and get some sort of advanced degree at some point…yeesh. This might be one of those “Well, I’m retired, now what?” goals. But we’ll see.
Small steps

Today I sent the greeting cards I bought for no particular reason other than to say hi, and I sent a small package to one particular person as well. As long as I make time to do things like that, I’ll be good, but I have to remember to slow down and take the time, because friends and people you care about are more important than a lot of other things.
