Ok, so, I just attempted W5D3. It didn’t go so hot. I got into a pretty nice groove for the first ten or eleven minutes, but then I just wasn’t mentally in it. I took a little less than a two minute break and then ran 5 more minutes, but I really wasn’t feeling it. It also didn’t help that I’ve already eaten today and as a general rule, if I’ve put much of anything in my stomach up to 3 hours before running, running is generally a bad call. I guess I’ll just keep trying this day until I get it because I KNOW I can, I’m not even tired after what I DID do. My boyfriend (who is as out of shape as I) told me he ran 2 miles last night and I’ve been running more than he has AND doing more cardio on the off days so I’m a little frustrated! Any advice for getting past the longer running hurdles?

I’ve tried the C25K two times before this but have fallen off the wagon for various reasons, mostly because I was too busy to run. It’s a new year and I’m back on the program though, and I’m about to start Week 5! Week 4 was a little rough for me, but I’ve found that as soon as I move onto something harder, running the longer times of the previous week seems easy. I’m so excited to get through this!
Well… I started this program way back last summer and almost got through it… I think I had 2 weeks left when I stopped? Anyway, then some things happened that got me off of it for the rest of the summer, and then school (20 credits + marching band + pledging a service sorority) happened, and then I was lazy, and therefore I haven’t really gone running too much in the past 6.5 months. So I’m back on this thing to finish! I held over a little in-shape-ness from the last time, so I started with week 3 this morning and it wasn’t too awful. Happy running!
