Buy a House (read all 9 entries…)
I did this but it's still on the list 19 months ago

Because I can’t decide whether it was worth doing or not. My advice to househunters would be not to buy a house while experiencing a 104 degree fever the day before you land in the hospital hemorrhaging, immediately before a collapse in the housing market. Still, we could have done worse.

elect a woman as president (read all 3 entries…)
Sticking with the goal 19 months ago

I hope to be alive and voting for many more presidential elections, so I’ll still be working on this. Incidentally, I think Obama would/will make a fine president.

Reflect on at least 5 things for which I'm grateful every day (read all 11 entries…)
July 3 gratitude list 19 months ago

1. Hot tea in my overly air-conditioned office.
2. Having an office with a door to work in.
3. My new tiny computer.
4. Snuggling with the dog.
5. Having breakfast food for dinner.
