I want to make enough money to pay off their house and let them retire so they’re not working until they’re like, 80. I guess this is part of the reason I want to be ‘famous’. I want to just be able to take care of everything for them in an instant and take their money worries away, be there for them, and try to somewhat repay them for all of the wonderful things they’ve done for my brother and me.

How I did it: Ok so I didn't make it as a contestant. But technically...I was on American Idol. They featured me holding my sign in 2006, and my picture made it into TV Guide, USA Today, the New York Times, and AOL.com. Pretty sweet!I strategized and used my artistic side to make a realistic drawing of Simon on my poster. Cut a hole out for my face and made it look like he had his arm around me. I guess it got some people's attention! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I worked with a local author for a year, seeing the process for self-publishing firsthand. I found an ad on craigslist for the need of an illustrator and it kind of went from there. We haven't sold thousands of copies yet, but we have sold several. The book is now in bookstores, and I think when I realized it was a success was when a child my mom had never met came… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I said it took me 3 years because that's about how long it's been since I graduated college. In reality I guess if it was since I started playing music, it'd be 20 years haha.Anyway... here's how I did it:First I gotta make it clear that I'm not a gigging musician. So I didn't end up being the next Kelly Clarkson (yet), but I managed to impress someone at a theater program for kids and they hired me to be their Summer music director. I go… Read how I did it…

For something, for a lot of things…for my music, my art, for having a really good business idea or a cooking show, for writing a great book, being a movie star, anything. I don’t know why I feel compelled to do more than the ‘usual’ routine of a career, but I really truly do. I feel that there are better things out there that I need to pursue.
This has really affected my life in horrible ways, preventing me from relaxing or enjoying things, having trouble traveling because of motion sickness, basically my life has revolved around this for as long as I can remember. I really want to get over it. The odd thing is, I had therapy as a child, and I’ve thrown up since then and knew it wasn’t that bad, but the fear never went away.
