I’m just going to take a moment to mock this goal. I think the last time I checked 43 things was 2+ months ago. So not exactly weekly.
Thing is, I have still been doing a lot of my goals anyway, I just haven’t been recording how they’re going, which is mostly because I’ve been super-busy.
I’ll make more of an effort on the checking-of-goals front in the future, but I feel I have unquestionably failed with this.

15. Something’s Got To Give
16. Bend it Like Beckham
17. Sweeney Todd
18. Juno
19. Schindler’s List
20. The Green Mile
21. Shawshank Redemption
22. Shakespeare in Love
Sweeney Todd was AMAZING. I went straight back to the beginning as soon as it ended, haha! All of these were really good actually, though I wasn’t sure why ‘Shakespeare in Love’ won the best picture oscar. It wasn’t that great…

I’ve had GREAT fun reading books on a complete whim. They’ve all been exceptionally easy reads (less than a day for almost all of them) and that’s really suited me recently. – I’ve been superbly busy but wanting to follow a complete plot arc in a short period of time.
So here’s the list of books I’ve read so far:
1. On the Edge – Richard Hammond
2. Twilight – Stephenie Meyer
3. New Moon – Stephenie Meyer
4. Eclipse – Stephenie Meyer
5. Breaking Dawn – Stephenie Meyer
6. Every Boy’s Got One – Meg Cabot
7. Princess Diaries: Seventh Heaven – Meg Cabot
8. Princess Diaries: After Eight- Meg Cabot
9. Princess Diaries: To the Nines – Meg Cabot
10. Princess Diaries: Ten Out of Ten – Meg Cabot
11. Princess Diaries: Project Princess – Meg Cabot
12. The Mediator series: Haunted – Meg Cabot
13. The Mediator series: Twilight – Meg Cabot
haha!
I recently got hold of a new copy of wuthering heights (i lost mine sob) so will be finishing that realllly soon!

1. Wuthering Heights – Emily Bronte currently reading
2. All my backcopies of The Economist currently reading
3. Chemistry/biology review magazines
4. The Living of Charlotte Perkins Gilman – CPG
5. Rebecca – Daphne du Maurier
6. The Hobbit – Tolkien
7. The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman – Lawrence Steele
8. Fermat’s Last Theorem
9. 1984 – Orwell
10. Jane Eyre – Charlotte Bronte
11. Great Expectations – Dickens
12. City of the Beasts – Isabel Allende
13. Amulet of Samarkand – Jonathon Stroud
14. War and Peace
I’ve copied this into a word doc and I’ll edit that as I go along so I’ve always got an up to date copy. That means I won’t have to retype this every time I do an entry – I can just say what’s changed [new books, finished books].

i’ve had a few of these and they are always very amusing and entertaining. there’s something about talking late into the night that makes for the most random, interesting conversation.
i want to keep this goal going for a bit longer so i remember to do it often:]

3. The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman – Lawrence Steele
4. Jane Eyre – Charlotte Bronte
5. City of the Beasts – Isabel Allende
6. Amulet of Samarkand – Jonathon Stroud
7. Rebecca – Daphne du Maurier
8. The Hobbit – Tolkien
9. Fermat’s Last Theorem

11. 1984 – Orwell
12. War and Peace
13. On the Edge – Richard Hammond
14. All my backcopies of The Economist
15. Chemistry/biology review magazines
I’m going to edit this and put them in an order soon. Hopefully work out a time span – I know W&P will have to wait until the summer holidays!
In principle I should be able to do this quite easily as I read quickly, but I just don’t have much time. My tactic is going to be to carry a book with me everywhere and read whenever I get the chance.

hmm, not sure

Though I’ve done more in this year than any other and I’m really excited for what next year will bring, I don’t think 2008 was as good as it could have been.
So it was the best year yet, but 2009 should be even better!

I’m going to work myself gently into this one, by scrapbooking this year’s family holiday to California or maybe even the whole summer if I’m feeling brave.
The next stage will be scrapbooking my childhood up to 18y. Hopefully I can do it well enough to inspire me later on:]

I am halfway through my bookshelf of unread books. It’s been really fun actually, I buy good books but then forget about them or am too busy, so getting to read them is really satisfying.
I’m going on holiday for the next fortnight and so am taking quite a few books with me then. My tactic has been to not let myself take out books from the library or buy new ones [unless it’s a reallly good one!] and that’s worked well.
Should definitely be done by 2009.

because i don’t feel it’s a thing i can do.
i’ve tried so hard to talk to them, and i’ve come to the – hopefully unbiased – view that the problem lies with my parents, not me.
so until they change… we’ll see.
good luck everyone else, this would be such an amazing goal to achieve.

I was editing my list and saw this one, and realised it’s a bit dumb, cos the things that make me truly happy are my friends and family, so it would just be a list of names. :p
but i love them all the same, they make my life what it is.

I am more flexible, which is technically the goal. But how much more should I be before I can tick it off?! I’m aiming for right, left and box splits comfortably by july 7th (going on holiday). If I can do all sets of splits easily by this point I will be able to let myself halt my stretching routine in time for the holidays, which is bound to happen anyway.
I’m currently just about in left and right splits, but about 20cm/8” off box splits.
I’ve got a month so I should be able to do it. I’m stretching every night nowadays and improving loads. :]

April – went to London for the national finals of a public speaking competition. Guess what?! My team won and I won an individual award as well. It was pretty unbelievable, but good fun. Also, had prom which I did a lot of organising for. It went really well, I was so pleased!

for a while at least. i really badly need a hair cut. only about an inch or so, but that one inch is affecting the rest of my hair and knotting it up so i’m going to get it cut, probably in a couple of weeks time, when i get round to booking an appointment…
but my hair will then grow again and be waist length again, just nicer!
very very worth it, it’s so exciting seeing how your hair changes through the lengths.

which is something i’ve never done before and i’ve always wanted to. it was brilliant fun, i’d recommend it to anyone, especially if you make day out of it.
bring on march… :]
january – i got straight As in my mock exams with very little work. :p

I’m planning to do this at half term. So in a month and a bit.
We’ve got quite a few of us definitely going and I’m sure more will be convinced, I’M SO EXCITED!!!
I just hope I enjoy it as much I think I will.

This is a really good way to increase your flexibility.
I stretch every morning doing a tailored series of exercises.
1) joint rotations (this only takes a minute)
2) jogging round the room waving my limbs about for 3-5mins
3) static stretches (various leg stretches for me)
4) dynamic stretches (splits, foot-in-hand, leg kicks (i try to kick my lamp), leg lifts etc)
This takes me 15-20 minutes and makes such a difference. Within a week my muscles were toning and I was vastly improved.
Remember, it doesn’t take much to improve your flexibility. Another thing to remember is that flexibility is a mental thing, so try telling your muscles to relax and go that bit further. That works really well for me! This website really inspired me.

I’ve been doing pointe work most evenings over the holidays.
It only takes twenty minutes and is helping me to improve noticeably.
I only have 10/11 weeks until my exam and I still am not near good enough, but you can only improve, right?
The past few days I haven’t practiced as I broke my left pointe shoe and I have new years tonight. Oh well, pointe work may well feature on my new years resolutions.

This is a big month for me, and a relatively easy one for me in terms of completing this task.
I’ve had my 16th birthday, christmas, new years eve, my sister and brother’s birthdays and the holidays.
Tomorrow (january 1st) I will edit this to include my decisive “something new” that I enjoyed the most in this month.
