One key thing I have learned is to be a better listener and
truly take interest in the lives of my friends. It’s hard,
I have so much going on – work full time – marriend – mom – volunteer.
And some of my friends are single and just don’t do much.
But I have learned to shut up and inquire things like,
‘Any plans this weekend?’ or ‘So what have you been
up to lately?’ And surprisingly to me they do have
stuff to talk about.
Good lesson in humility for me. I was a little full
of myself before I think.
Still have to work at making more time for my friends
though.

How I did it: I said one day, "God, please show me the way. I'm giving my life over to you right now." And God provided a wonderful counselor that has helped me greatly sort out my misunderstandings about love and relationships instilled in me when I was a child. My husband and I have both made changes and I truly do trust him again. Even though I know now there is no guarantee that he won't hurt me in the future, but that I can… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I never slept that much. Maybe 6 hours at the most. Then I would not want to get out of bed. I now make it a priority to go to bed so I can get 7 hours of sleep and surprise, surprise, it's not too hard to get up anymore. I would love to up it to 8 hours a night, maybe after my kids are grown up. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My husband had an affair. How devastating. More devastating than I could have ever imagined. Forgiveness was a long road, but one that was worth it. We have improved our communication and relationship and we now have the tools to prevent this in the future. Forgiveness happened over time. I don't think I could have forced it to happen and he had to change his ways before I could forgive and decide to st… Read how I did it…

I am doing really well on this goal.
I pack my lunch now.
I eat oatmeal for breakfast every morning other
that the ones I am just sick of it. Then
I eat a veggie omelet.
I started this goal because I started having
low blood sugar episodes – one in which I actually
passed out and my doctor told me I was prone
to hypoglycemia – very hard to diagnose I guess.
But he suggested controlling it through diet before
going any further. The key is to avoid blood sugar
spikes which then cause blood sugar to dip rapidly.
I am proud to say, I have not had a shaky or
fainting episode in a long time. It really is
a miracle – I feel great – and I have energy.
I am down to $3166.95
This is good since it was $12,000
at one time, about 3 years ago!!
But life has to throw its setbacks.
My husband needed an emergency root canal which
was over our dental maximum so this is
going to cost us $2000. Ouch.
We are going to try not to put it on the card
but work extra instead. We are also both
giving plasma at the local blood bank for $120 per
week. At least it is due in installments over
a couple of months instead of right at this second.
I tell you, life can be rough.
