looks like i’ll be moving to Idaho in a few months, on account of the fact that i fell in love with an old friend from high school (who’s now my best friend) that i got back in touch with last year. don’t remember when i felt so happy and was looking forward to the future as much. i’m excited and ecstatic and feel crazy sometimes (IDAHO, for the love of God! but it does appear to be a pretty awesome town and area, so whatever. just COLD. ugh.) – but i also have my head on straight about the whole thing and i honestly believe i’m being rational about it. i think it’s a safe bet that this one will be done by next year.

the best advice i can give on this on is to try that new Chantix stuff. that stuff’s a freakin miracle. it makes you just not care if you smoke or not. i quit 6 days ago, and i’m fine. not irritable, or constantly craving a cigarette (cravings are pretty rare, really, and if i try to ignore it, i forget withing a minute or so), and i’m just not miserable, like almost every other time i tried to quit. the stuff’s expensive, but believe me, it’s worth it. personally, i’d skip the nicotine replacement stuff, it’s never done anything for me. nicotine or no, i was always still desperate for a cigarette. but if it works for you, great!
also, the book “The Easy Way to Quit Smoking” is very good as well.
you will feel like crap for the first few days, while you detox. feels like a cold, and my palms got sweaty and i sweat in my sleep (then again, i have a new down comforter, maybe that contributed). and i had pretty minor headaches, too. but all that’s gone now and i feel pretty good.
good luck!
