They sent me a cheque in the post for the original amount but without the six months’ worth of late charges. I can’t believe it. The late charge compensates me for the delay and the money and time I spend chasing them, calling them, etc. And this after I spoke to the director and emailed with a copy of the contract pointing out the late charge in paragraph 2.
It’s unbelievably disrespectful. Who do they think they are? Well, I can’t let it rest there. I’ll find out what’s involved in the legal procedure for small claims court and then when I’ve decided what consequences I’m going to put to them, call them again.

I’m not trying to be spontaneous in the sense of suddenly running off somewhere or something like that. More like being spontaneous in the manner that I do the normal things I do every day, e.g. the way I talk and interact with people, listening to myself carefully and seeing how I feel and what I want to do in the moment instead of pre-planning things too much, not worrying about it if I change my plan, etc.
The results are good so far. I’ve found that it takes away a lot of fear for one thing. I save energy because I’m thinking and analysing less. And because I’m thinking less, I’m not expecting anything in particular from people because I haven’t thought about it – which makes me more open. And overall it just makes things less predictable and more interesting.

I’ve started exercising regularly lately, and it makes me feel great and definitely happier with myself. It just feels good to know that I’m taking care of myself and improving physically. I was really, really not into sports as a child, but lately I’ve been feeling a need to do more physical activities. I’ve signed up for a martial arts course which starts in a month (which I’m very excited about) and I’ve got a regular exercise routine which I do every other day or so (unless I’m very busy) where I do a short cardio workout to get my heart rate up followed with yoga. It’s only been about 2 or 3 weeks since I’ve started doing this but I can already see the difference and I can stretch my muscles further and hold the poses better and longer.
