Best place to watch whales... Lime Kiln Point State Park, San Juan Islands, Washington State 2 years ago

Whale watching boat was ok, but going to Lime Kiln Point State Park and seeing the whales MUCH closer and in a much more solitary place was SO much better! Partly we were just really lucky. I could have stayed there all day though. Got some incredible photos:

Save for/Buy a Canon Digital Rebel XT
I did better... I bought a Nikon D80 2 years ago

...And I love it. It has such a big bright viewfinder and lots of focus points and is wonderful. After comparison shopping, I realized that the D80 gives you SO much more for the money. Here’s a great comparison article:

try surfing
I did it! Wow!!! 3 years ago

Went surfing at Pacifica in the Bay Area for the first time… Now I’m a real Californian. I couldn’t believe that I could actually stand on the board a few times! I thought it wouldn’t be much fun if I didn’t know how.
