Right now I weigh 301 pounds according to my scale at home. My weight has been steadily creeping upwards since I got out of the Marine Corps. I am not getting any younger, my knees and ankles and hips can only take so much. This is where I am. I can do differently. I need to show up and do what I need to do to be healthy.
I worked a temporary job and learned about what actuaries are and what they do and how much they get paid. I have been bouncing around in my life from career to career without any firm goals. I took the path of least resistance and did not work hard for what I want out of life. I know I can do this job. At one time I was an engineering major and I made it through Calculus III with an A. I got to Statics and Thermodynamics and I quit because it was too hard. In reality I just didn’t want to do the work. I know I can do the math. I know I can discipline my life so that I will be able to study. I want a different life than the one I have been living. I am hungry. I want this. I will be taking Exam P in November.
