I’m not really elaborating because I’m tired, but everyone should read this book. It’s a series of short non-fiction essays on weird Palahniuk-y topics, and each essay condenses and concentrates all the grosses-you-out-then-makes-you-think goodness of a Chuck Palahniuk novel, making this, in my opinion, one of his most potent works. And yes, I have read more than just Fight Club.

How I did it: My university has a "student research associate program" with a local hospital, where selected students work in the ER of the hospital collecting data for several clinical research studies, and provide very basic care to patients (when I say basic, I mean fetching blankets and water, filling out paperwork, and walking to the bathroom). I spent 2 weeks creating a masterpiece of an application, offered to take a shift most people won'… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have autonomy, freedom, and a useful skill set. What's not to like? Practice as often as you can (volunteer to be the driver every time you get into a car) and take lessons with a driving school. It will lower your insurance, and they can often provide you advice specifically on how to pass your driving test that others cannot. For example, my driving school had a whole lesson on which DMVs in my state had the highest … Read how I did it…
