I hadn’t practiced for weeks. I was starting to question my own ability and my future goals. Then, two days ago, I picked out all of my favorite arias and sang through them, just for me, not thinking about technique or anything. I think I can do it. And I KNOW it’s what I want to do.

My boyfriend of almost 3 years just got a job in Princeton, NJ and I’m in Pittsburgh. In August I’m going to be moving even further away from him. He was just here to visit this weekend and we had a blast. It’s just so hard that we can only see each other for pretty much one day a month. I want everything to be perfect for that day, which just makes me way too up-tight when he is visiting. He’s worth it, though. If he weren’t, I wouldn’t put myself through this! It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.

There’s something so romantic and sexy about being in the wilderness with your significant other.
