Stumbled across this project just yesterday and I love the idea – the fact that it has a deadline as well helps. That way, I’ll be working towards something. I plan to break my list up into different areas – health, family, finance, spiritual and so on – so get some focus. It’s friday now and I’m hoping to get my list done and up on my blog (www.pilgrimagetoself.blogspot.com) by Sunday night!

20. actually read the books I buy
1 entry . 2 cheers6 people
I compulsively buy books. I love books that are bound beautifully, printed in particular fonts and on expensive paper. That catches my eye first before the actual content or the name of the author. As a result of this weird way of buying books, I have a large and varied collection of books in my library. From books on poetry to meditation to books on french cooking. The snag is, I start to read them and then 4 pages into them, I close them almost never to be revisited. I don’t know why I do this. So one of my 43 things is to actually read all these books that I buy.
I have kept a blog now for 6 months and its the best thing I ever did. I have met a whole new community out there in blogosphere. It’s got me to write again and also enabled me join fun online projects.
For anyone who has been putting off starting a blog – don’t put it off any longer. It’s been a journey of self-discovery for me.
