I’m not sure when this goal gets “completed”—maybe once it becomes enough of a habit that I know I’ll give it consideration each weekend?
Finlay and I went to meeting yesterday in Swarthmore—my first-ever time there, despite living in the area for many years. Two weeks previous was my first-ever meeting, in Manhattan. Both were very fulfilling experiences. Maybe after a few more meetings I’ll be ready to call this completed, but I can already say it’s Worth Doing.

Payroll doesn’t need cancelled checks to set up Direct Deposit to ING accounts :-) So I’ve given them the forms, and two paychecks from now, everything should be going to ING.
Now I just have to switch online automatic bill paying….

Maybe this will motivate me to get this done faster? Progress so far: paying my rent for the first time from ING; filling out a form for transferring Direct Deposit to ING (though I may need to get them to send my employer a paper check, I’m not sure).
Yet to do: find out that my rent was successfully paid; get the Direct Deposit forms set up and turned in; transfer my automatic utilities bill payments to draw from my ING account; set rent payment up as an automated monthly payment.
It doesn’t sound hard. It just hasn’t happened yet, after a month or two of saying I’m going to do it!
