..Today my best friend Carlos came over and helped me with my spanish homework. Im so thankful for him in my life (even if it was incredibly difficult for him to help me when he can hardly speak English).

How I did it: I began listening to ONLY Christian radio on February 1, 2011. At first I was just just challenging myself to see if I could actually do it and keep it up, but I totally became obsessed with the lyrics of these songs! I realized that the music I had been listening to before were really glommy and made me have a less positive attitude while I was happier and more encouraged when I heard God's Word sung. How I did it: I was in middle school and at my grandparents house in Kentucky for the summer. I was DYING to see Pirates of the Carribean (I'm pretty sure it was the second one...) and my grandma suggested us going to the local drive-in theater. I was so excited and loved every minute of it! How I did it: I became friends with Carlos the week after he moved to the United States from El Salvador one year ago this month. At only 18 years old, he is one of the hardest working people I know.
