I had a bag of clothes that needed to go to the thrift store, but was putting off taking them there because I would have to bike them (I don’t drive). Then I got a piece of mail from Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA.org) offering to pick up any clothing donations I had. I called and they told me when they’d be in the neighborhood and viola! I didn’t have to deliver my old clothes, they got picked up.

I’ve been wanting to do this my whole life, and finally did it in March. I was petrified that I’d regret it, and hate it after a few days, but I absolutely loved it. It was so much fun, and required very little upkeep. Much different than the long hair I’d had my whole life. I’m in the process of growing it out, and yes, that’s tedious, but I’m sure I’ll mohawk my hair again in the somewhat near future.

I’ve been bouldering for about 9 months now, and I’ve slowly been working my way up from a V0 to where I am now. I’ve been stuck at V3s for a few months- it seems that whenever I get close to getting a V4, I either get sick, get lazy or go on vacation. I finally got a V5- today! :)
