Day one: starting today, I will drink only 1 soda a day for the rest of the month. At the beginning of January, I will drink NO sodas. It will be water or tea…and the occasional delicious beer. Think healthy thoughts….

How I did it: Saturday, my friend and I took a road trip to see a comedian. That part was great. We also found out one of our favorite webcomic artists (yes, we're dorks) was going to sign books at a comic store not 10 minutes from where we went to the comedy show! It was one hour from the original projected closing time, but they were still selling books, and they still had free beer. We each bought a book and got a beer, and were the last ones in lin… Read how I did it…
As long as I can remember, I’ve been rather negative when it comes to life outlook. My philosophy has always been “If you set the bar low, you’ll never be disappointed and you’ll never disappoint.” I’m now mature enough to realize that by looking at life this way, I’ve severely limited myself. By looking on the bright side, I will take more risks. If I take more risks, I will have greater rewards. If I don’t gain the rewards, I will fail, but our failures help shape us as much as our successes, so onward I go.
The scene is set, the hero is in place, the villain plots in his lair…so why am I stuck at “once upon a time?”
