We’re both still alive, we made it across the country in one piece (although after the dodgy directions for Adelaide, the bumpy roads in Victoria, and the fogs and rain, I’m not quite sure how…)
Now to find a job, move into our new house and learn my way around Melbourne.
Doing this was much easier than I thought. I asked to salary sacrifice 10% of my pay straight into my savings account, so it was almost like I never had the money anyway (and spending money you don’t think you have is harder than you’d think!), and then I just saved any extra I was left with at the end of every fortnight.
The only problem was that I’m not saving towards any specific goal, and so now I have savings I don’t know what to do with!
Last night my boyfriend and I went and saw “Stardust” at the Galaxy Drive-In. As far as I know, it’s the only drive-in left in Perth, and there were only ten other cars there.
We were under the stars and watching a great movie. It’s hard to explain how content I felt in that moment.
