So, I emailed a bunch of people last night. This morning I checked my inbox and found a few people thought it was great, while others replied something along the lines of…...........”just what I need another social site.” I will tell them that 43 things is definitely more than that. I don’t visit any other social sites because I don’t need that in my life. I haven’t opened a myspace account or any of the like because I want to keep my social activities in my community. I feel that 43 things is a place where I can set goals, work on them consciously, and see other people who are doing the same. We get encouragement and receive encouragement. It’s a beautiful thing…......bringing people closer to the vision of their world!
and, ahem, it’s fun, too. How can that be bad, I ask?

I finally gave up aspartame. I have been drinking diet coke since the 6th grade. I am now almost 32. My fiance and I decided to start a family and I didn’t want that toxin in my body at the time of pregnancy. I gave it up, cold turkey. I had my last diet coke at a professional sports game early in February and haven’t even had a sip since. I don’t think I would even like the taste of diet soda anymore. I now drink more water, decaf. iced tea, and lemonade (made with, OMG, turbinado). I have to admit…...I miss carbonated drinks. I refuse to drink regular soda because of the calories and I don’t want the diet. Therefore, I don’t get that bubbly satisfaction (and carbonated water just doesn’t cut it); however, I figure it is a small price to pay for my health!
So, it was a long process. I paid all my credit cards (not much, but I wanted them paid). My problems came from a few late pays and a few collections from some more turbulent times in my life.
I challenged each negative remark on all three credit agencies; this took about 4 weeks. I then made sure I used my cards a little each month and paid them off completely when I got my statement.
Doing all of that took my score from the high 500s to almost 800!!!
It took more than a year, but I’m so happy I took an interest in doing it!!! It was relatively easy, just a lot of time put in.
