I applied to become a Big Sister for Big Brother Big Sister. After a long wait (more than a month), I finally got matched! The trouble is that I am thinking of going to grad school in another town about 3 hours away from my little. They ask that you commit to being with your little at least twice a month for a year, which I would want to do. Should I make the commute twice a month or say no? (My family also lives in the same area so the commute wouldn’t be just for seeing the girl)

How I did it: I talked to people to find a place to go and then I went and did it one day when I had some free time. After the first time it was really easy to go back. Read how I did it…
I have dirt and pots. Now I need to find people who will share part of their plant with me. First, I will get a potted herb garden.
I am trying really hard not to spend money that I don’t have. Lately I seem to have lost the concept of SAVING. Whenever I run out of money I just start using the credit card. Want to make a big purchase? out comes the credit card. and somehow in my mind i think that of course I will pay it off, but I don’t actually sit down and crunch the numbers.
I think I’ve slipped backwards a bit for this goal, but reading other entries has inspired me. thanks!
