I found France to be a very interesting but difficult place to live. French people tend to have a more abstract and intellectual culture than where I was born, which I like. The best thing you can do to prepare is learn to speak french well before you go. This will make developing friendships so much easier. It definatly took me longer to be accepted and develop strong friendships at my school in France than in NZ but once they were made they felt more meaningful.

I’m leaving for India in November! I’m so excited, but overwhelmed..I really have no idea what I want to do once I’m there.
