The house is finally starting to look like a house again. We’ve got most of the painting and wallpapering done. Most of the floors are done too. We’ve decided to move in by the end of fall, no later, done or not. I think if we move in and just live in the parts already done we’ll get more done that way anyways.

Things aren’t looking so good in this area. I’m so tired of seeing negatives on hpts. Sad part is everyone keeps telling me I look pregnant and asking when the baby’s due. The even sadder part is I do look 5 months pregnant..but I get my cycle (well I guess you can call it that, it doesn’t seem normal). Doc’s say I’m not tho. Maybe I’m just wanting a baby too much and my body is reacting to that – kind of like one of those phantom pregnancies. I don’t know, but it’s so depressing.
I am so sick of trying to get the house put back together. I am ready to just move in and finish it once we’re in it. I would not advise anyone to buy a fixer upper unless they have a LOT of money and a lot of time. We have had some good luck tho. A lot of people have been ‘donating’ things they had left over from when they rennovated and it’s really helped with the cost. We’ve been given used but still good doors, a water heater, carpet, and tools have been lent to help with things. I’ve also been looking around thrift stores and was surprised to find some never used lighting fixtures that I absolutely love that only cost us a fraction of the cost, and we’ve found enough wallpaper at $2 a roll that has really helped out. I can’t wait til we get moved in, every day we go over there and work on the place, it’s like when you were a child and you counted down the days til Christmas. At any rate..we hope to be in within the end of next month.
