I have always loved cooking and baking, but as I have gotten older I realized that the money wouldn’t be there. I have retired from the Navy after 20 years and now I work behind a desk and I HATE IT. The Love of my Life is a RN and she loves it, I hear wonderful stories of her patients, but, I alsoo hear the stories that are not that glamorous. So, I am torn, Nursing, which would provide wonderful stability, help people every day and possibly save lives, or Pastry Chef. Making incredible eats for people and watching them eat them, seeing the satisfaction on their face as they enjoy something that I have created.

How I did it
How I did it: I joined the US Navy thinking I would only stay for a couple of years, well, 20 years later I retired. I wouldn't say all of the places I saw was worth it, but there I places that I would go back to over and over again. Punta Arenas, Chile, remote, cold, but yet so beautiful. Israel, more guns carried there by girls than anywhere in the world, but standing on such sacred ground was very moving. Many, many more places, so yes, It was all worth it. Read how I did it…
