My Treo stopped working as a phone a couple weeks ago. So I needed a quick replacement. Could not wait for the iPhone. So, the Blackberry Pearl looked good. I wanted a smartphone. And I love how small and normal it is as a phone yet does well on getting information from the Net. I love the push email. It has a camera and a microSD card. I was ready for a change but would probably have bought a Palm device if one was available with comparable features. But, alas, the Treo 680 or 700p are so big and this is so small

The Treo 650 is a nice PDA/cell phone. I really enjoy having a full QWERTY keyboard. But, it is fairly big, so you really have to want the PDA part to make it worth the space. On the other hand, if you carry a separate PDA plus a cell phone regularly, you’ll enjoy being able to limit your gear to a single item.

I went to Portland and researched stuff there. Went to the cemetary but wasn’t sure it was the right cemetary so that was disappointing. Found out a lot about what to do on my next trip. But also, was able to borrow a whole lot of photos and then scan them in from one of my cousins and then also stopped by my cousin in Medford on the way back and was able to look at and photograph some old photos. Definitely fun. And I can see it getting better and better as I get the hang of it. So I’m up for doing another trip this year.
