If I think I want to write a book then it’s not going to write itself. I’d like to get into the habit of writing, even just for the sake of it. My piano playing gets better when I practise my scales; i’d like to work up to writig daily for a set period of time. Maybe 30 mins, which seems both manageable and realistic.
Not sure what (see also ‘what to do with my life’), but this one’s boring, so need a new job.
Needed a goal that was easily and quickly achievable – or my list will be one long series of disappointments!
Getting a haircut next week. It will be my first ‘done’ thing!
I mean properly. Learn about flavour combinations, what works, what doesn’t and why….to be able to open any cupboard and know what I can do with the contents.
Combination of student debts, poorly paid jobs, time abroad and unemployment means debts racked up…but the good news is I finally decided to do something about it. Last year I moved in with my parents to save money, consolidated all my debs into one, with no interest until December 2009, and i’m slowly paying it off. It’s not easy but it’s a great feeling to see the numbers go down each month, and once it’s gone it will be a real achievement as well as really liberating!
Even if for a few months. I’ve been there many times and have lived in France before, but once, just once i’d like the opportunity to live in this wonderful city.
This is my lifetime ambition. It’s going to be tough – there are (I think!) 53 countries and so far i’ve been to 9. My criteria is that I have to have stayed at least 2 nights in a place before I can say i’ve ‘been’ there. This cuts out passing through and stopovers. Of course I can’t get to know every country really well but two nights is enough to have some experience of it, even if just one town.
