I made a duty list... 6 months ago

I made a very detailed duty list. For instance, I wrote down each room and sectioned every part, like for the kitchen, Clean the fridge, Clean the outside of fridge (top and sides, doors) Wipe down fridge side baseboards, and wall..etc..

I think I have 5 pages total for my apartment but most everything doesn’t take long and whoever does a task can cross it out. Like with the fridge, one of us can just clean the top and cross it off..Some things take a minute, some take a lot longer but it’s being caught up and from then on it can just be wiped down or whatever and not so much work.

Anyway, so far it’s working out really good! This way it’s not so overwhelming and the house is really starting to look great! It wasn’t horrible before, but it needed detailing really bad.

I wish I had Excel on my computer so I can print it up and check it off so we can reuse it. I’m gonna have to look into that :)

For about a month... 6 months ago

I’ve been drinking a lot of water and I’ve gotten used to it. Now, I’m not panicking when I forget to buy sodas, or think I have to make tea or Kool-Aid. I bought a 12 pack of bottled water and I’ve had a Brita for years that I’ve always used and just rinse and refill the empty bottles.

I feel better and I’ve found that I feel more energized while drinking water in the morning than coffee or an energy drink. My joints feel better, my eyes don’t feel as dry, my skin looks better, and I have less headaches. I used to take some sort of headache medicine every day and now I hardly have to take them anymore…so it’s working!

Oh, did I mention that I’m saving a crapload of money??

I stopped buying 12 packs every few days and now I drink a soda maybe 3 times a week or so. I’m feeling better and not getting as many caffeine cravings or headaches. I think my boyfriend is adjusting, but I don’t know what he drinks outside the house other than energy drinks, which I don’t drink everyday now either. I was drinking a huge Redbull every morning at work. :) I might have one a week, maybe.
