I usually dont talk about me being straight edge but here it goes. I grew up with a father who was a drug addict and an alcoholic, and my mom was also an alcoholic. Being young I grew up around older people, and I seen all the stupid things they’ve done. When I was 16 I vowed to be straight edge, it felt natual to me and it felt powerful. Drinking, smoking, doing drugs, and premiscues sex isn’t me, you might call me a boring person but to me it feels right. I’m now 20 and still straight edge. About 2 years ago I also stopped taking persciption and over the counter drugs, and you can’t beat the music either. If your not into the straight edge scene then how can you be straight edge?

How I did it: Grew up around older people who did stupid shit, this was my way of being myself. My parents were alcoholics and drug addicts, and I can't picture me growing up like them. Being straight edge feels right, but a lot of people dont realize its about the music also. Not everyone can be straight edge it takes a strong individual. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Met a guy the high school I attend years back. We hit it off and became friends, took me to a show he was going to be on and I met the promoter and everyone else. Did a lot of traveling and payed a lot of dues. Trained all over the place, and still no one gives me c… Read how I did it…

I applied for financial aid and it cut my semester tuition cost in half. I actually recieved two loads, one from a private lender and a federal loan. I haven’t started college yet so I still have time to send back all the extra money so I don’t have to pay it back later. Apply for Aid though, best and cheapest thing I ever did.
I’m all set for college, and should be starting at the beginning of January. My only set back is that it’s tough getting a student loan. Hopefully a miracle happens in the next few weeks and I get that loan.
