I have trouble falling asleep, and staying asleep, and I am not sure why.

I quit drinking January 10, 2008. The year before, I spent 3 months in a 12 step group which told me I had a lifelong disease.
I finally quit drinking on my own and have stayed sober for 13 months!
If I can do that, is it possible to learn to drink in moderation?
I spent years being dependent on alcohol. It was bad, and my life has improved vastly since I quit. At the same time, I would like to be able to go out to a restaurant with my boyfriend and have a glass of wine or two.
At this point I do not believe that alcoholism is a disease, it is a behavioral problem. If I can fully quit, I wonder is it possible to drink normally?
