I’m doing P90X, and Yoga X is a part of the program. I do it about once a week. For every 4th week, it changes and I have to do it twice in the recovery week. I thought yoga was going to be relaxing and somewhat interesting, but I find it way to boring to get anything out of it. The whole time I’m doing Yoga I keep think about how boring it is. I get so frustrated with impatience. I’m not sure if it’s just the particular type of yoga I am doing, or if I just am not interested in yoga as a whole. Yoga X is an hour and a half, and the vinyasas are for about an hour. Those are the moves I really can’t stand. They are so repetitive. The poses afterwards where you have to hold them for a bit aren’t as bad, but I still don’t see myself wanting to do yoga for fun.

How I did it: I just bought a bag of brown rice and hoped for the best. I was worried that I wouldn't like the taste of it and would have to wean myself onto brown rice. Fortunately, that was not the case. I enjoyed my first bowl of brown rice and I think it tastes much better than white rice. No problem there! This was probably the easiest goal I've ever done. The brown rice has a nice nutty flavor and is much more satisfying than regular rice. My bod… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I alternated with a couple sets of weights: 3 pounders and 5 pounders. Some days I do circuit training following an exercise DVD, like The Firm. My favorite of these DVDS is Hard Core Fusion. It alternates strength training with cardio, which I liked because it made it less boring and more fun. On the days I feel lazy I follow a work-out program from a strength training book that I have. You can find the same exercises online though. I li… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I payed close attention to what I ate, tracked everything on SparkPeople, and ate consciously. To start off I measured all of my food. I was surprised to see how much more than a normal portion of food I was actually eating. I made an effort to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my diet and that helped significantly. By eating more fruits, and especially vegetables, you are able to eat more food for less calories. Also, healthier… Read how I did it…
