Next Saturday is the Des Moines tryouts for the biggest loser! I am looking for the right partner. Is it you? You have to be at least 100 pounds overweight. I have a bro who would qualify but his job is in the insurance biz and he better stay put. I have a good friend but she is really into obesity rights and while I respect her position- I feel that I am not leading the life I should be leading at this weight. I use obesity as my crutch- if i don’t get a job, boyfriend, invite to a party, etc… it’s not my fault, it’s my weight. I need to wise up and accept responsibility.
i am looking for a partner for the show. They are accepting single applications but are ultimately looking for couples. I think it would be an interesting twist to say that we are “internet friends”. If this is remotely interested, contact me. While I am applying in person, you can apply online and we can write each other’s names in the blanks provided. I’d love to see this work!!

One might say that I completed this goal. I am seeing the importance of putting my needs ahead of others. I am so much more mentally healthy than I was a year ago. I am always going to be a people pleaser- that is inbred in me! But I am more secure about myself. Maybe it was a good thing that FORMER friends screwed me over. They are no longer in my life and I have more energy to concentrate on me. Just becuz I am more selfish doesn’t mean I am less nice and less considerate I just am more considerate of myself. I’m keeping this goal as a reminder to myself that I have to be true and kind to myself before I can trully give to others.
What a difference a year makes! I am sooooooo much happier this year. I quit a job that I really disliked- Christmas was a big part of being an activity director. Christmas was a major pain in the ass!!! This year, I am a full time college student this year. I am working my tail off to earn extra cash during the season but I’m taking it all in stride. Christmas 08 is really just another day- I work that evening. My family will be scattered at inlaws across the midwest. Thanksgiving(my favorite holiday was big deal this year). Christmas is not pissing me off which is a major relief. I think next Christmas (big deal year) will be a banner year with the completion of most college courses and the family together. I am content with Christmas this year and feel that I will probably have the spirit in 09.
