Hi guys, after posting yesterday, and Angel asking me about the site I mentioned, I thought I’d leave a little more info, and a link to the site.
WQD, stands for “We Quit Drinking”. It’s a non profit site, created by someone as a kind of experiment, that has grown into a community of people from all walks of life with one thing in common: An addiction to alcohol.
I found out about it through a post by someone here on 43 things.
It has been an incredable help to me, and many others and I strongly encourage you to check it out. Go there, join the site, so you can post, and access all the parts of the site. From there, you can just read, or, as most people do, and what helps the most, you can start a journal, where you post where you are at in this journey, your feelings about alcohol, your struggles, etc.
And like here, others will respond to you, and encourage you and offer advice or help and support. There is also live chat, and many other sections that will help.
Anyways, There it is. I wish you well. I’m not selling anything, or a shill for this site, I’m just a guy who spent 30 years being addicted, and finally am tasting freedom, and I understand how much being addicted sucks, and I wanna help. So, I’m putting this here cause it helped me.
And if you do join the site, stop by my journal and say Hi. My name is the same there, Trailwalker, although I do have a different avatar.
God bless y’all!! Trailwalker
I’m a steady 209 these days, but I still need to lose a bit more.
Goal, 199!!!
