How I did it: I had earned a frequent flier ticket that could take me to Europe. My sister and I decided to go together. We decided to book a cruise so that we could go to a bunch of different places instead of just one place. We picked one that left from Venice, then went to Dubrovnik, Kusadasi (Ephesus) in Turkey, and Santorini and Corfu in Greece. We got back 2 weeks ago. What an amazing experience. How I did it: The one night a month thing never panned out, but fortunately business picked up for him and he was able to cut back on his hours, especially at the second job, so now he's home every night in time for supper and on Saturday evenings and all day Sunday. Mini-golf and batting cage

My son is graduating from t-ball to baseball next summer, so we’ve been going to a batting cage where he can practice hitting the balls. They also have mini-golf at that place, so we’ve been doing that too. I got a pair of inline skates and have been trying to learn, so that’s another activity.

Live Mocha

This week I discovered the website LiveMocha.com . It’s free, offers free language lessons and the opportunity to chat with people all over the world. People from China seem very enthusiastic about reaching out to others. I signed up as learning Chinese, French and Spanish, and within 2 days I had 8 friend requests from China and only 1 from someone from a Spanish speaking country.
I’ve chatted online with two people from China, but one discussion was cut off when I started talking about how I adopted my daughter from China. I don’t know if that was coincidence or not. I hope I didn’t get the guy I was chatting with in trouble.
